You should agree to these terms and conditions before using this website. The term "NCH" or "us" or "we" refers to National Consumer Helpline .The term 'you' refers to the user or viewer of our website.

2. General conditions

Under no circumstances will NCH be liable in any way whatsoever, for any content or information provided on the website, or for its impact on you and/or your business in any manner . This includes, but is not limited to, any errors or omissions in any content, or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any content posted, emailed, or otherwise transmitted via the product. The information and services included or available on the website may contain inaccuracies or typographical errors for which NCH shall not be liable in case any damage /loss occurs to any person. Changes may periodically be made and the information may be added or modified on the website from time to time without any prior notice .NCH reserves the right to make any alterations for the improvement of the website at any time ,whatsoever.

3. Description of Service

NCH ‘s mission is to provide its services and support to the consumers through its website by :

• Guiding consumers in finding solutions to problems related to Products & Services.
• Providing information related to Companies and Regulatory Authorities.
• Facilitating consumers in filing complaints against defaulting Service Providers.
• Empowering consumers to use available Consumer Grievances Redressal. Mechanisms, Educating Consumers about their Rights and Responsibilities.
• Developing the awareness among Consumers about their Rights and Responsibilities.

3.1) NCH is an advisory body and in any case will not be liable to resolve consumer grievances against any company / service providers. NCH sole aim is “To provide information, advice and guidance to empower Indian consumers and persuade businesses to reorient their policy and management systems to address consumer concerns and grievances adopting world class standards.”

3.2) NCH provides a web based service through its website or on queries received through SMS, Mobile applications ,E mails, Social Media including facebook, Twitter Etc for consumers in India and the foreigners who have purchased any products or hired any services while in India and are seeking information about consumer rights and providing a facility for consumer to file their grievance against defaulting service Providers via “Complaint Handling and Management System”. The territorial jurisdiction for filing any consumer complaint by the foreign nationals/Consumers shall be within India.

3.3) The Service (or parts of it), may be accessed by consumer or made available through website or internet on mobile. You must acknowledge that certain parts of the Service are available only via certain medium / devices / communication network Channels. The communications could be made available to consumer through SMS (Short Message Service), Email, and/or other Internet or telecommunications services or protocols (such as WAP (Wireless Application Protocol)) (collectively, the "Channels").

3.4) Service Notification: Any communication may be made as part of services from NCH such as website version Updation via push notification through SMS /Email, NCH E-Newsletter, consumer advisories / tips etc. These all shall be subject to the Terms of Service.

WEBSITE / SOFTWARE USAGE OBLIGATIONS

Registration Data -In consideration for registration form, you agree to provide true and accurate, current and complete information about yourself and must maintain and update your registration Data to keep it safe and complete. Any inaccurate or incomplete information provided will be summarily rejected by NCH. NCH Website may provide Un-restricted access to some/ part of the modules for which registration is not required but in that case, your identification is based on your machine IP or communications subscription number provided by your network operator that you must agree to allow via this service reference. You will receive login account details only after completing the registration form . You will solely be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the account login details , and are fully responsible for all the activities that occur through your account. You hereby agree to immediately notify NCH of any unauthorized use of your password or account or any other breach of security. For the safety of your account and to protect it against any misuse please ensure that you carefully log out from your account at the end of each session. NCH cannot and will not be liable under any circumstances whatsoever ,for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply and abide by the requirements laid down, hereinabove and in this Section.

DEVICE CONFIGURATION & COMPATIBILITY

In order to use the Service, consumer must keep their Computer(PC) updated with proper operating system and antivirus packages,Softwares and utilities at their cost. While using the NCH Website, you may also be using the services of one or more third parties, such as a wireless carrier or a mobile platform provider. Your use of these third party services may be subject to the separate policies, terms of use, and fees of these third parties. You hereby agree and acknowledge that you shall be solely responsible for the set-up, configuration or compatibility of the PC/devices for obtaining access to the NCH services and any communication channel ,whatsoever. If any alteration in the whole or any part of Service requires changes in your hardware, software or other equipment, you must effect these changes at your own risk and expense.

The National Consumer helpline reserves the right of website - www.nationalconsumerhelpline.in which is designed and developed by NCH to facilitate faster dissemination and easy access to information related to consumer grievances. Any Liability claims regarding damages caused by the use of any information provided, including any kind of information which is incomplete or incorrect, will therefore be rejected. The pages and sections of the website or complete publication including all offers and information might be extended, changed or partly or completely deleted by NCH at any time without separate announcement or notice. Use of any information or material on this website by you ,is entirely at your own risk and cost , for which NCH shall not be liable under any circumstances. The information and services included or available on the website may include inaccuracies or typographical errors. Changes are periodically added to the information available on the website.NCH may make improvements and/or changes at any time without a prior notice .
