Problem Reported: Consumer's mother was booked on a domestic Airlines flight from Guwahati to New Delhi in early December 2019 and had a confirmed seat. Despite reaching the airline check-in counter on time, she was not allowed to board the flight and the booking was rescheduled from the airlines side on the next available flight whose scheduled departure time was a few hours later, on the same day. And all this was because of the fault on the part of the airline staff.
Escalation by NCH: As the company is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline, the grievance was responded to on the portal stating that they had “shared the feedback with the concerned department, and offered a travel voucher worth an amount of INR 2,000, issued in the name of traveler, and could be used for future travel on any sector through the Airlines website.”
Consumer Remark in INGRAM: Excellent. Through this portal government is doing a great job, just wishing that the general publics are made aware of such service which will be of great help to the public. Keep it up!
