Problem Reported: Consumer had taken a paid membership of a matrimonial website and had paid ₹1455/- . After the payment was done, the company started asking few more details which were not told earlier, before making the payment such as salary proof, ITR etc. Now, consumer is not comfortable in sharing the details of salary and wants the company to hide the same or do this verification by means of an executive being sent to his home. After he denied providing this information, the company blocked his account. Consumer wants the amount to be refunded or the account to be activated with specific details which he is comfortable to share.
Escalation by NCH: As the company is not under Convergence with NCH, the grievance was e-mailed to the company and the response received was “we have refunded the membership amount and also notified the consumer”.
Consumer Remark in INGRAM: When NCH spoke to the consumer, he confirmed that he had received ₹1455/-refund from the company.
