Problem Reported: Consumer had taken a car insurance policy from a private sector general insurance company. While renewing his policy in the third week of October 2020 for an amount of ₹14926/- he mistakenly made the payment two-times. He had already sent the transaction details to the company of the additional payment made by him, and had sent them many e-mails also, but had not got any response from them.
Escalation by NCH: As the general insurance company is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline; the grievance was responded by the company on the NCH Portal that “your refund has been approved. This amount will be credited into your bank a/c within 8-15 working days.”
