Problem Reported: Consumer had recharged his DTH connection in end September 2020, twice for an amount of ₹1245/- each time. He requested the company for a reversal of the second payment. The company replied that the amount had been reversed to him, but consumer’s account had not been credited. So, when the company asked him to submit the bank statement of that specific recharge date, he mailed it to them, but had not received any update.
Escalation by NCH: As the DTH Service providing company is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline; the grievance was responded by the company on the NCH Portal that “as per the confirmation received from the concerned payment gateway, subscriber Refund failed due to the error "refused card" due to which refund was not processed. Please ask customer/merchant to share the bank details in order to process NEFT refund: Cancelled cheque, Bank Name, Branch Name, Account number Account Holder Name.”
