Problem Reported: Consumer had ordered a food item in early May 2021, from a branded food outlet, through their online portal. They asked him to cancel the order after 30 minutes in the evening when stock was not available and later they themselves cancelled it due to – NO STOCK. They said that the refund would be credited in 5 - 7 working days , but even after almost a month, the amount of ₹1083/- had not been credited to his account.
Escalation by NCH: As the branded food outlet is not a Convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline, the grievance was e-mailed to the company, and the food outlet responded that “ARN number already received from consumer issuing bank.”
Consumer Remark in INGRAM: When consumer was spoken to, by NCH, he confirmed that he had received the refund of ₹1083/- .
