Problem Reported: Consumer had purchased home furnishings - Bed sheet Sets and Pillow Covers from an online shopping website. The product delivered was defective and of poor quality so he requested them for return and refund. But they refused for refund in money and instead provided cash vouchers and said that the company has policy not to refund cash, and give only vouchers. But consumer is not keen to shop with them anymore and wants the money back. Since the last one month, the company kept responding that they would revert within 24/48 hours but they had not reverted on his grievance. The amount paid was ₹1999/-
Escalation by NCH: As the online shopping company is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline, the grievance was responded by the company on the NCH Portal that “Informed that refund have processed through NEFT and it will take 2-3 working days for the amount to reflect back in customer account”
