Problem Reported: Consumer had booked a car – a sedan at a dealership of the Automobile Company in end March 2021. The dealer had promised in writing that the car would be delivered in the third week of May 2021, but even after two months of booking, the dealer failed to deliver it. When the consumer approached them for an update, they did not give a satisfactory response. When the consumer raised his grievance on the company’s toll-free number, they promised him the resolution within 48 hours, but he had not received any call from the company. Consumer wanted the booking amount of ₹ 5100 refunded to him.
Escalation by NCH: As the company is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline, the grievance was responded by the company on the NCH Portal stating that ‘We have been informed by the dealership that, the booking amount made by customer has been refunded to the customer.’
Consumer Remark in INGRAM: Resolved by dealer.
