Problem Reported: Consumer had opened a digital wallet with a mid-sized private sector bank in January 2021 and was doing the transactions smoothly. But after around four months of operations, when the consumer was doing a transaction on another e-wallet, the OTP was not received as some government restrictions were imposed on sms delivery on telecom operators. Consumer tried 3-4 time but was not able to do the transactions and the Bank’s pay wallet got blocked. Since then, consumer had been sending emails to the bank but every time the bank gave false promises that the wallet will be unblocked in two day but even after two months it was not unblocked.
Escalation by NCH: As the company is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline, the grievance was responded by the company on the NCH Portal ‘We wish to inform you that the wallet has been unblocked on xxxx.
