Problem Reported: Consumer had paid ₹75000/- to an private coaching company and joined the sessions for a competitive entrance exam in the last week of May 2021. She was given one tablet from the private coaching company, as part of the course. On attending a few classes, she was not able to understand anything and wished to withdraw from the course. When the counseling session was held earlier, consumer said that the counselor had not told her that a 15 days trial period was available after which she could not cancel the same. Consumer wanted the refund.
Escalation by NCH: As the private education company is not a Convergence partner of the NCH, the grievance was e-mailed to the company, and they responded that the Consumer could send back the product (Tablet) and the refund would be processed post receiving the product
Consumer Remark in INGRAM: When NCH spoke to the consumer, she confirmed that she had got the refund of ₹71250/- from the Private education company, and that she was happy with the resolution.
