Problem Reported: Consumer had ordered a 65 W power adapter for his laptop in April 2021 by paying ₹ 1378/-. On tracking the delivery of product, he came to know that it had arrived at the courier partner’s warehouse closest to his city. However, as it was not delivered to him the next day, he enquired the status from the company and was informed that it would be delivered in 2-3 days, citing COVID lockdown. Consumer was of the view that when every type of delivery was taking place, then why not his? In the first week of June 2021, he came to know that the courier partner had lost his package. So, he sent an e-mail to Laptop Company mentioning that he had waited for 55 Days and now his package was lost by the courier partner, so either they send him a new adapter or they just refund the total sum that he paid them. But even after two weeks, neither had he got the charger, nor the refund.
Escalation by NCH: As the company is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline, the grievance was responded by the company on the NCH Portal that ‘Refund is processed.’
