NCH Docket No.: | 2956924 | Dated: | 2021-09-11 | Sector: | Private Education |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Problem Reported: | Consumer had enrolled for an online course with a well-known Learning App in early September 2021 and had paid ₹ 8000/-. Thereafter, he cancelled the admission because he was much pressurised to make the down payment and then take loan for the remaining amount. Also, when the executive from the Private education centre was explaining the course to his parents, he was not able to explain the benefits of the course and was only focusing to sell the product. Therefore the student cancelled the admission and applied for the refund, but he was clearly denied for the refund. | ||||
Escalation by NCH: | As the private education company is not under the Convergence partnership of NCH, the grievance was e-mailed to them. However, only after two reminder e-mails were sent to the company by NCH, the company responded, “Refund was processed and completed on xxxx”. | ||||
