Problem Reported: Consumer had booked an international tour ticket through a Travel Company, to travel in mid- November 2020, and had paid the amount of ₹229895/- a year earlier - in November 2019. Due to Covid19, the tour program was cancelled, and he requested the company for the refund but they refused and issued a six months valid travel voucher. Consumer did not want any voucher, he wants only refund but they denied.
Escalation by NCH: As the company is not a Convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline, the grievance was e-mailed to the company, and the company responded that – “We connected with the consumer and have informed him on September xx, 2021 that we are going ahead with his refund process and the amount will be credited in his account by October xx, 2021 the same is acknowledged by consumer via his e-mail dated September xx, 2021”.
Consumer Remark in INGRAM: Excellent. Lot of people is not aware about this facility. This facility is very helpful to ordinary citizens. Thank you. JAI HIND
