Problem Reported: Consumer had got a Fiber internet connection installed in end August 2021 and paid an amount of ₹2500/-, however, the very next day he requested for the cancellation of the connection. As per the service provider’s policy, if the device is returned within 30 days of installation, he would get 100% refund. Later, within a week device was picked up and it was in the same condition as it was installed, and they also took the bank details for processing the refund. The refund should have been processed within 7-14 working days from the date device was picked up, but even after more than a month, he had not received the refund.
Escalation by NCH: As the Service provider is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline, the grievance was responded by the company on the NCH Portal that “We have investigated the issue and found that service cancellation request has been completed and the device has been picked up from the location. However, it appears that the refund of security deposit amount has been delayed due to some unforeseen reason. Our team is working to resolve the same and we assure that the refund will be processed within next 7 to 10 working days. Once ₹ 1500 is credited, remaining amount will get credited within 4 to 5 working days."
