Problem Reported: Consumer had had raised a two wheeler insurance claim in early August 2021. The showroom had taken almost a month to repair the motor bike in the showroom so he had to pay ₹10364/- and then apply for reimbursement. Since applying, he had not got any update from the insurance company about his claim. Whenever he called customer support, he was told to contact the claim executive who does not answer his calls. He requested NCH to help him get the claim reimbursement from the general insurance company.
Escalation by NCH: As the private sector General Insurance company is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline; the grievance was responded by the company on the NCH Portal that “We have reviewed your claim related concerns and would like to inform you that the claim payment has been processed, you will received the claim amount within 3 working days” (extracted from an attached email copy sent to the consumer by company)
