Problem Reported: Consumer had paid his house rent of ₹10,155/- in the end of November 2021 through an APP linked to his credit card but instead of mentioning the account number of the landlord in the details, he had mentioned the Landline number of branch. Hence, although the amount was debited form the consumer’s account it was not credited to the beneficiary. Consumer contacted the customer care of the bank wanted the refund because it was done by mistake.
Escalation by NCH: As the Bank is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline, the grievance was responded by the Bank on the NCH Portal that ‘this is with reference to your complaint lodge at National Consumer Helpline regarding disputed purchase transaction dated xxxxxxxx for Rs 10,155.00. We confirm that the disputed amount of ₹ 10,155.00/- has been credited back to your credit card account xxxxxxxxx on xxxxxxx.’
