Problem Reported: | Consumer had purchased a branded mobile handset by paying ₹ 27999 from an online shopping portal. The handset received had scratches on the screen and the glass pre fitted in the handset was tampered with. He was advised by the customer care of the online portal that he should post the return request for return of the handset. Consumer posted the request with the relevant images by email as well to which the portal confirmed that it was genuine and product had got scratches in it, and that they were working on it. But thereafter they informed the consumer that the handset cannot be returned. | ||||
Escalation by NCH: | As the e-commerce company is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline, the grievance was responded by the company on the NCH Portal that “Out called the customer and the customer confirmed over the call that the refund is processed to his account”. | ||||
