Problem Reported: Consumer had bought a high branded smart watch in Dec 2018. . After two years, the dial came out of the watch. He complained to the company and got replacement with warranty in Oct 2020 by ₹ 1011. After ten months of its replacement, again the dial came out. When submitted it to the service center, he had been told to pay ₹ 7556 to get it repair. Later on, he got a mail stating that watch is not repairable and consumer need to pay ₹ 20396 to get the replacement. Consumer has concern that the product had manufacturing defect and it is still under warranty, then why would he pay .
Escalation by NCH: As the company is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline, the grievance was responded on the NCH Portal that “The customer new service order number is xxxxx and as per the policy customer replaced the product in Dec 2020 and is having 2 year warranty we have updated xxxxx service center to issue full value replacement. Please ask customer to reach out to service center.”
