Problem Reported: Consumer had bought a branded mobile in December 2020 and had paid ₹ 42889. Towards the end of its warranty i.e. one year, he started facing issues in its battery. He contacted company’s customer care and during initial checks and observation the warranty got over. After many emails and calls he submitted the phone to service center in Feb 2022 and service center gave the estimate of ₹ 25000 for repair. His concern is that the mobile was giving problem during its warranty period and its company who took so much time to address. Consumer wanted that the mobile should get repaired under warranty.
Escalation by NCH: As the company is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline, the grievance was responded on the NCH Portal that.’ ‘Customer was provided with an exception to service the unit without cost to the customer as set was Out of Warranty. The unit was repaired and the issue has been solved. The case has been closed as per procedure
