NCH Docket No.: | 4027131 | Dated: | 2022-11-17 | Sector: | e-commerce – Online Cab Services/ Car Rentals |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Problem Reported: | Consumer reported that he had booked a ride which showed the estimated charges as ₹.593/-, but the charges paid at the end of the trip were ₹.643/- and ₹ 59/- in cash to the cab driver, totalling ₹.702/-. The online cab service provider also demanded cancellation charges of ₹.50 though the cancellation was done by their driver. Consumer had communicated with them on Phone several times whenever they contacted him (consumer is of the view that the company’s phones are in one way traffic mode only) and must have sent them umpteen number of emails, but had not got any resolution. | ||||
Escalation by NCH: | As the cab Services Company is a convergence partner of NCH; the grievance was responded on the portal itself that “Post validating the ride details, we have waived off the amount of Rs. 50. If the due is still reflected in your account we request you to kindly share us the snapshot for the same. We would like to inform you that we have forwarded your NEFT bank transfer details to our relevant team and the amount of Rs 59/- will be credited to the bank account within 5-7 business days | ||||
Consumer Remark in INGRAM: | Excellent! Very much appreciate your support. After your intervention, they started responding. Thanks very much. |
