Problem Reported: | Consumer had already re-charged his account but the service provider did not provide viewing access to the subscribed channels. On contacting customer care of the company, he was informed that he would have to register a complaint, and a technician would visit his house, and the visiting charges would be ₹200/- . Consumer was of the view that why was he required to pay if the channels were not running, as it was a fault of the company and they should fix the problem. | ||||
Escalation by NCH: | As the DTH service provider is a convergence partner of NCH; the grievance was responded on the portal itself, stating ‘Spoken with the subscriber and he confirmed that the error-related issue has been resolved and the subscribed channels are working fine now. Further, we have informed that the amount of Rs.15/- is debited for the processing fee due to late payment of the connection. As per the company policy, if the payment was not done within 3 days of the Switch Off date, Rs.15 charged as a processing fee from the d2h account in your next payment” | ||||
