Problem Reported: Consumer had ported out his post-paid connection in end Jan 2023, and after porting, he was required to pay his final bill to the service provider as per MNP rules. However the service provider from where the number was being ported out was harassing him continuously, First they did not generate his final bill even when the billing date had passed, After writing multiple emails to the customer care and appellate authority, the bill had been generated and sent to him. However they had not updated the outstanding balance, due to which he was unable to make any payment since their website stated no outstanding balance. When he called the customer care of the company, they refused to register his grievance and also refused to provide the email address of nodal officer for grievance resolution.
Escalation by NCH: As the company is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline; the grievance was responded on the portal itself that ‘Your number is inactive. Your outstanding bill amount is Rs 0. As per your confirmation, your issue has been resolved now.’
