Problem Reported: Consumer had ordered a laptop from an online shopping website by paying ₹28,790 and he received a defective piece. He raised a return request the next day, which was accepted. However, even after almost two weeks, the item was not picked up by company. Consumer received a SMS that it would be picked up in the next 2-6 days, and three days thereafter he was informed of the agent PIN for collection of the item, but the Agent never came for pickup. The matter had been discussed with the Company’s senior executive since last 15 days, but even after that, the Item was not collected. Consumer requested NCH to look into this matter. The company was neither collecting the item nor refunding the amount of ₹ 28,790.
Escalation by NCH: As the company is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline, the company responded to the grievance on the NCH Portal that “the refund worth ₹28,790.00 as requested and required was processed into the original payment method.”
Consumer Remark in INGRAM: Very Good! My problem was completely neglected by the company......a great thanks to NCH. Further I request NCH that, this type of negligence by companies should be dealt with strictly.... companies should be awarded financial penalty, if problem is being solved through NCH.
