Problem Reported: Consumer had ordered a DG set in March 2020 of 10KVA capacity with same specifications which were mentioned in the catalogue by the company, at an approximate price of ₹ 2 lacs. The consumer had made an advance payment of ₹19000. The Genset was delivered in May 2020 and when they started using it, they found that the Genset did not have the same capacity of Tank which was mentioned in the catalogue. Consumer had contacted the company many times but they refused to refund or replace the Genset.
Escalation by NCH: As the company is a not a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline, the grievance was forwarded to company by email, and the company responded that “Refer to trailing mail, please have a note of submission that fuel tank capacity is based on design of DG sets & same keep changes in the lieu of customer feedback & market scenario!! However, mentioned complaint is resolved & DG set is changed with higher capacity of fuel tank!!”
Consumer Remark in INGRAM: NCH out called the consumer and he confirmed that his issue has been resolved as the company has replaced the product.
