Problem Reported: Consumer had ordered a mobile handset online from the company’s website in end July 2020 on a payment of ₹5,829. As the order was not shipped, and the model was incorrect, consumer cancelled the order well before 24 hours, and hence was eligible to get refund of the full amount. But the company was not refunding the money. He had called/emailed the company several times but did not get proper response. Since they were not refunding his money, he was left with no option but to request them to send the handset, a week later. Even for that there had been no response and they kept telling him that they would update shortly.
Escalation by NCH: As the company is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline, the company responded to the grievance the NCH portal: “We have initiated the refund to customer, refund will be credited within 7-8 working days.”
Consumer Remark in INGRAM: I got the refund of my money. Thanks to NCH. I request NCH to take severe action against the company, since I'm not the only person who got cheated, there are lot more people affected. It's a big harassment by the company to the consumers. Without NCH I would have never got my money back, so I thank you once again.
