Problem Reported: | Consumer had taken an insurance policy for COVID in the pandemic period from a General Insurance company. The policy commenced in the first week of May 2020, and he had paid the Premium of ₹1475/-. Consumer tested corona positive and had submitted his test report issued by the Department of Medical Health and Family Welfare, Government of Rajasthan to the insurance company, but the company was not providing the claim to the consumer and demanding the document with seal and sign of the lab. | ||||
Escalation by NCH: | As the company is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline, the grievance was responded by the company on the NCH Portal that ‘the claim has been settled for the amount of Rs. 100000.00” and gave the NEFT details. | ||||
Consumer Remark in INGRAM: | When NCH spoke to the consumer, he confirmed that the claim had been settled and the amount of ₹100000.00 had been received from the company. |
