Success Story #3704899

NCH Docket No 3704899 Dated 2022-07-31 Sector Private Education – Learning App and Portal
Problem Reported Consumer was looking for assistance for her PhD course, for which she had contacted a company who provided expertise in implementing research in any tool and software. The company had asked for 50% advance – an amount of ₹. 20,000 which the consumer paid online in end March 2022. The company committed to complete the work within 45 days. However, it had been over 4 months - approximately 130 days and they had sent only a single document which was irrelevant as did not co- relate to her PhD work. When the student approached them, they continued to say that the work is still in progress and they would share the work soon. However, nothing had been received despite multiple attempts to contact them, and when she raised the grievance; the company bluntly refuted the claim and asked for more money if the work had to get done. Consumer was of the opinion that this was a clear case of fraud and torture. She had been asking for refund and they were ignoring her emails and calls. She requested NCH to get the refund as she could not afford to lose her hard earned money.
Escalation by NCH As the company is not a convergence partner of NCH, the grievance was e-mailed to the company, and the company responded that the “ Refund of ₹ 20,000/- is done
Consumer Remark in INGRAM Refund duly received.
