Problem Reported Consumer has a Motor Insurance policy with the same company since 2017, and in May 2020 he applied for renewal of his car policy and paid the premium amount of ₹6,221 as the existing policy was to expire two days later. However, as 24 hours had gone by and he had no update on the policy renewal, he tried to lodge his grievance. But mistakenly, instead of filing the policy renewal grievance, he filed a claim. He asked them to not process the claim as it was filed by mistake and issue him the policy with the benefit of 35% No claim bonus (NCB).
Escalation by NCH As the company is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline, the company responded to the grievance on the NCH Portal that “...We wish to inform you that your policy has been issued. Please find enclosed soft copy of the policy with this e-mail. Please note: This is a valid form of Insurance copy and does not require a seal and stamp; you may take a print out and utilize directly...”
Consumer Remark in INGRAM Problem resolved by company. Policy is renewed by same company.
