Consumer's mother was booked on a domestic Airlines flight from
Guwahati to New Delhi in early December 2019 and had a confirmed seat. Despite
reaching the airline check-in counter on time, she was not allowed to board the flight and
the booking was rescheduled from the airlines side on the next available flight whose
scheduled departure time was a few hours later, on the same day. And all this was
because of the fault on the part of the airline staff. |

As the company is a convergence partner of the National Consumer
Helpline, the grievance was responded to on the portal stating that they had “shared the
feedback with the concerned department, and offered a travel voucher worth an
amount of INR 2,000, issued in the name of traveler, and could be used for future
travel on any sector through the Airlines website.” |

Excellent. Through this portal government is doing
a great job, just wishing that the general publics are made aware of such service
which will be of great help to the public. Keep it up! |
