Problem Reported n end December 2020, Consumer had booked new car with a dealership, and paid ₹ 11000 as the booking amount. Due to non-availability of stock he was not informed of any specific delivery date. In in the second week of January, there was a mis-happening in the family, as his brother had a brain stroke and a major surgery and ultimately passed away in February 2021. Due to his financial condition, he withdraw the idea of purchasing a new car, and asked the dealer to refund his booking amount ₹ 11000/-. The dealer told him that they would deduct ₹ 3000 as cancellation charges, but consumer wanted the full booking amount refunded.
Escalation by NCH As the company is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline, the grievance was responded by the company on the NCH Portal on 31st March2021 that ‘We have been informed by the dealer that the full booking amount has been refunded back to customer.’
