n end December 2020, Consumer had booked new car with a dealership, and paid ₹ 11000 as the booking amount. Due to non-availability of stock he was not informed of any specific delivery date. In in the second week of January, there was a mis-happening in the family, as his brother had a brain stroke and a major surgery and ultimately passed away in February 2021. Due to his financial condition, he withdraw the idea of purchasing a new car, and asked the dealer to refund his booking amount ₹ 11000/-. The dealer told him that they would deduct ₹ 3000 as cancellation charges, but consumer wanted the full booking amount refunded. |
