Problem Reported Consumer took a Corona Protection Policy through a private General Insurance company by using the e-wallet Application in early May 2021, and had paid ₹396/- for a one year premium. However, even after two weeks, he had not got the policy documents. When he contacted the insurance and payment gateway companies, they informed that he would get the documents via email, but he had still not got any information from them.
Escalation by NCH As the Insurance Company is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline; the grievance was responded by the company on the NCH Portal that “Policy soft copy shared with customer. Please find enclosed soft copy of the policy for your ready reference, please note: This is a valid form of Insurance copy and does not require a seal and stamp; you may take a print out and utilize directly.”
