Problem Reported Consumer had taken a health insurance policy in the second week of January 2021 and had paid the Premium Amount of ₹15999/-. Consumer was hospitalized due to Covid-19, after which he filed the insurance claim. However, the claim was rejected giving the reason “hospitalization is not justified”. Consumer wanted the claimed amount.
Escalation by NCH As the company is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline, the grievance was responded by the company on the NCH Portal that “We would like to update you that above referred claim no. have been created in the records and approved with an amount of Rs.91, 511/- and Rs.11, 649/- respectively and payment of the approved amount is already processed from our end on dated June 18, 2021 and June 19 , 2021. Communication already shared with customer.”
Consumer Remark in INGRAM Excellent! Your service is very good. It helps people to solve their problems. Give direction to all insurance company, not to reject claim due to useless reason in covid-19 pandemic. It's time to test insurance company.
