Problem Reported |
Consumer booked flight tickets in early February 2020 on payment of ₹4,694. While booking, the page got refreshed, so instead of booking a morning flight, an afternoon flight got selected, by mistake. The travel agency informed him that they would deduct ₹800 as airline cancellation charges. When consumer contacted the Airlines, he was informed that there were no cancellation charges if the ticket was cancelled within 24 hours, subject to the travel agency confirming the same. Despite sending 2-3 mails to the travel agency, they did not respond. When they did contact him, they said that 24 hours were over as the mail they had sent him had not been responded to, and hence he was required to pay the flight cancellation charges. Consumer says that he had not received any email from the company |
