Problem Reported Consumer had purchased a branded smart TV from a large multi brand electronics retail outlet in end April 2021 and paid the amount of ₹59990/- . However, she was delivered a defective TV. She wanted it replaced, but the retail outlet was not replacing the defective TV. Even after 3 months of payment, the outlet had not taken any action in spite of repeated calls/ emails and reminders. She had paid ₹59990/- through a Bank credit card and since the last 2 months she was paying EMI with interest to the bank. And now the same model TV price had been hiked from ₹59990 to ₹69450. Even if they refund her the complete amount after taking back the damaged TV, she has to bear more than 10000 rupees to buy the same product.
Escalation by NCH As company is not a Convergence partner of NCH, the grievance was forwarded to the company and they responded that “Refund initiated, it will credited within 7- 10 days”.
