Consumer had purchased a branded smart TV from a large multi brand electronics retail outlet in end April 2021 and paid the amount of ₹59990/- . However, she was delivered a defective TV. She wanted it replaced, but the retail outlet was not replacing the defective TV. Even after 3 months of payment, the outlet had not taken any action in spite of repeated calls/ emails and reminders. She had paid ₹59990/- through a Bank credit card and since the last 2 months she was paying EMI with interest to the bank. And now the same model TV price had been hiked from ₹59990 to ₹69450. Even if they refund her the complete amount after taking back the damaged TV, she has to bear more than 10000 rupees to buy the same product. |
