Problem Reported Consumer had ordered a laptop in mid-August 2021 for ₹ 20999/- from an online shopping portal, but the portal delivered a different model of the product. The consumer requested the company for a refund, but the company said that they would investigate the issue. However, neither had the company picked the product, not refunded him the amount. Hence, he had lodged his grievance at NCH as he wanted the refund.
Escalation by NCH As the portal is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline, the grievance was responded by the company on the NCH portal stating “it is submitted that the refund worth ₹ 20,999/- was processed into your original payment method on xxxxx. “
