Consumer had an ongoing health insurance policy and had paid the Premium amount of ₹10,186. In March 2019 the consumer was hospitalized for a week due to an infection that spread through diabetes. Before the spread of infection, he had undergone dental treatment also. When he applied for the claim amount of ₹29,000, the company rejected the claim with the reason that the infection had spread through the dental treatment. The report from the hospital clearly stated that the ‘Infection spread due to diabetes’. And, Insurance Company was giving false reason to reject the claim. |
