Problem Reported Consumer had purchased a branded laptop from a multi-brand retail store in the second week of October 2021 and had paid ₹ 41490/- As the laptop was working extremely slow, he visited the company’s authorized service center , they demanded ₹ 994/- to reinstall the software as the company warranty only covered the hardware. Also on enquiring whether this will be a permanent solution, the store staff explained shortcomings of the product and asked him to upgrade the laptop by adding SSD drive at a cost of ₹ 12000/-. Thereafter, the consumer did not want to keep the product and wanted refund.
Escalation by NCH As the company is a convergence partner of the National Consumer Helpline, the grievance was responded by the company on the NCH Portal that “Refund has been received by the customer”
Consumer Remark in INGRAM Excellent! Extremely satisfied with the help extended by Consumer helpline. My complaint was quickly actioned by xxxx team and refund was issued on priority. Many thanks for helping.
