Consumer had purchased a branded laptop from a multi-brand retail store in the second week of October 2021 and had paid ₹ 41490/- As the laptop was working extremely slow, he visited the company’s authorized service center , they demanded ₹ 994/- to reinstall the software as the company warranty only covered the hardware. Also on enquiring whether this will be a permanent solution, the store staff explained shortcomings of the product and asked him to upgrade the laptop by adding SSD drive at a cost of ₹ 12000/-. Thereafter, the consumer did not want to keep the product and wanted refund. |
