Problem Reported Consumer said that as he was physically handicapped, he was eligible for a discount in motor policy. But the insurance company insisted that he pay the full premium, so, accordingly, he paid the full premium of ₹. 7160/- on 26th Aug’2022. Thereafter he had sent 3 reminders, but the insurance company had neither refunded the eligible handicap discount nor sent a proper reply. He requested NCH’s help for the refund.
Escalation by NCH As the General Insurance company is a convergence partner of NCH, the grievance was responded on the portal itself that “As per our telephonic conversation, we confirm that we have done the endorsement and refund of Rs. 1365.00 has been processed vide refund ID xxxxx, and it will be credited to your source account within 07-10 working days. Attached is the endorsement copy for your ready reference.”
